Shannon Gaul

Shannon Gaul is an Oregon Board certified licensed massage therapist and physical therapist assistant. She holds a master’s degree from University of Toledo ‘94, BS degree in Physical Education, Recreation and Sports Medicine from Adrian College ‘92, Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant ‘11 and a Massage License from Lane Community College ‘06. 

She has been a community college educator for 23 years teaching in the areas of Kinesiology and Biomechanics, Exercise Prescription, Anatomy, Injury and Prevention, Therapeutic Exercise, Nutrition, Meditation and an array of fitness modalities. In addition, she is an Oregon Board of Massage Therapist Board Member. 

Shannon has massage certifications in myofascial release, deep tissue, trigger point release, neuromuscular reeducation, joint mobilization, craniosacral techniques and Functional Indirect. She has owned a thriving massage practice since 2006 and has worked in a variety of settings including: sports medicine, orthopedics, pelvic health and wellness, women’s health, chronic pain and diseases. 

Shannon also holds specialty certifications in Reiki healing, sound healing and Canine Myo-Kinesiology massage. She has been a practitioner of shamanic practices for over 25 years working with Peruvian, Toltec, Native American and indigenous cultures to learn and study ancient ways of healing including sound healing. 

Shannon is a personal trainer with over 30 years experience. She emphasizes individual approaches to exercise programming.  She has taught one-on-one personal training sessions to groups of 85 student-athletes. Her educational background allows for increased understanding of the human body and how exercise impacts overall health and wellbeing.

“I believe my role as a facilitator of healing is to create a safe and nurturing environment in which clients can explore and heal in mind, body and spirit. By restoring the body back to balance and harmony, one can achieve a life of moving well, living well and being well. Through teaching, sharing and manual skills I hope to assist you in experiencing a full and happy life.”

Hobbies and Interests

Shannon loves to travel to other countries to learn about other cultures’ healing practices. She also loves to explore nature in the summer months and on weekends with her dog Ome. She is an avid reader of spirituality and the facets of becoming an evolved human being. She enjoys playing outdoor team sports, board games and hanging out with friends.
